Perfect Peregian Beach
The seaside village of Peregian Beach is the perfect place for your next domestic travel destination. Take a deep breath and savour the clean, salt-filled air, and let your worries drift away.
Adventures and Experiences
There is never a dull moment at Peregian Beach, with plenty of adventures and experiences to be had year-round. The open-air markets are your one-stop-shop for food, fashion, and, of course, souvenirs. They take place on the first and third Sunday of each month, and is perfect for those early risers who just can’t wait to start their day in paradise.
Want more retail therapy? Peregian Beach Square, located in the centre of the town, is home to a range of stores, including clothing, homewares, day spas, and a myriad of other goodies to keep you entertained all day. Still want more? Attend one of the free live music events held in the park beside the beach, go for a hike, or take a refreshing dip in the cool water.
Delectable Dishes
Peregian Beach is also a haven for the foodies. At the Beach Square you will find restaurants and cafes, where you can choose to dine-in or takeaway and have you own private picnic. From fresh local produce, to international cuisines, your mouth is sure to be watering.
Nature at its Best
Amble at your own pace or put yourself to the test with a hike through the area’s natural habitats. There are a few beautifully grassed spots at the top of the National Park at Noosa Heads, where you can enjoy a peaceful picnic that will soothe the soul and replenish the body.
Continue along the coastal track through shrublands and wildflowers to Alexandria Bay, where you will see local surfers catching the breaks off the rocks on the northern side of the bay. Venture up the stairs at the end of the bay and be rewarded with truly spectacular views. If you look down, it is likely you will see turtles bobbing in the waves. During May to October humpback whales pass by, although they are also visible from the beach.
Accommodation
Once you arrive at Peregian Beach, you won’t want to leave. Thankfully, there are plenty of accommodation options – such as holiday resorts and beach houses – so you can stay as long as you want. Wake up to the sound of the waves lapping at the shore, sip your morning coffee on your deck, and watch as nature puts on a daily show.
